  • The East Galway Family History Society provides customers the opportunity to avail of their in-house experienced researchers through visiting the Woodford Heritage Centre or by sending research requests via email or post.  Prior to a visit, it is advisable to ring in advance and make an appointment with a researcher to avoid disappointment.   Additionally, to expediate all research requests, it is recommended that the Research Form (available on this site) be completed wherein possible and sent via email or post to the Centre.
  • On receipt of the completed form, our researchers will then conduct a preliminary examination of all the available records and revert back accordingly outlining the search results and relevant fees, if applicable.
  • Dependent on the available records, the researcher maybe in a position to provide copies of individual records or an in-dept family history report .  A report will normally consist of all pre-1900 Church, Civil, Land and Census records and may also contain maps of the area and any other information that can be found on the family in question.
  •  Alternatively people can undertake their own family research by searching  the Society’s records at   Anyone using this site is also welcome to contact the Society with any queries they may have regarding the online records.
