• The Society provides customers the opportunity to avail of their in-house experienced researchers by visiting the Woodford Heritage Centre or by sending research requests via email or post.  Prior to a visit, it is advisable to ring in advance and make an appointment with a researcher to avoid disappointment.  Additionally, to expedite all research requests, it is recommended that the Research Form which is available by clicking on the Services/Research Form links should be completed where possible and sent via email or post to the Centre.
  • On receipt of the completed form and nominal fee, our researchers will conduct a preliminary examination of all the available records and revert back accordingly, outlining the search results and other relevant fees, if applicable.  Dependent on the available records, the researcher may be in a position to provide copies of individual records or compile an in-depth bespoke family history report.
  • A report will normally consist of all available historical Church, Civil, Land and Census records and may also contain maps of the area, family trees and photographs and any other relevant information.  A report can also include family photographs, memorial cards, marriage agreements and other historical documents supplied by the client.
  •  Alternatively people can undertake their own family research by searching  the Society’s records at   Anyone using this site is also welcome to contact the Society with any queries they may have regarding the online records.
